NEDA Hotline Campaign

advertising/publication

The National Eating Disorder Association is an organization promoting the awareness and prevention of eating disorders while also providing hotline support for those who may be actively suffering. The purpose of this project was to create an independent campaign for NEDA that advertises their hotline in both publication and ambient media form. This is a “What If?” campaign communicating the possibility of recovery and hope for those suffering or loved ones who know someone who may be battling eating disorders.

I wanted to push the idea that one’s perception of their body while battling an active disorder may be warped and unrealistic, leading them to continue their harmful habits. I manually warped photos of the human body in the scanner to communicate this idea as well as warping the word “reality” in my slogan as a sort of oxymoron, implying this reality in which they must starve is a warped one.

This campaign consisted of a single spread and full spread magazine ad, an interactive bus stop ad, and a pop-up web banner.
